Hey there, George from boomingbusiness.com and if you want your business to grow past the $1 million mark to the $5 million and then well beyond…
Then you need a consistent and reliable way to get new customers and keep them coming back again and again.
So, in today’s video I want to show you the process that I use in all of my businesses, as well as the same process that I use with all of my clients’ businesses, to make that happen.
The process is called “From Cold to Convinced.
It’s one of the first projects I take all of my new Mastermind members through, because it’s quite often the one key that unlocks all other areas of business growth.
Here’s how it works:
Firstly, let’s cover a common misconception.
I quite often find with business owners, that there is an expectation where they can run a piece of marketing, place an ad, make some phone calls, and then sales get generated straight away.
Now, that does happen…
But, if that’s the entirety of your sales strategy, then you’re leaving a lot of money and opportunity on the table. That’s because most people need to go through a buying process before they’re willing to part what their money.
This is especially true if you have a higher ticket item or a sophisticated offering.
The reality is your conversion strategy needs to mimic what that buying process is.
Based on that, the cold to convince process has five key elements and is designed to take prospects on a journey.
- The first step in that journey is to get people to know about you.
- Once they know about you, you’ve got to get them to like you.
- Once they like you, you’ve got to get them to trust you.
- Once they trust you, they’re going to feel comfortable to buy from you.
- If you then do a good job and services their needs properly, they’re going to buy from you again.
They’ve got to know about you, like you, trust you, buy from you, and then buy from you again.
Your sales process is going to be unique to you. But, it has to take people on this same five-step journey if you want it to be effective.
Now, a common concern that often arises is around the time and effort involved in putting one of these processes together, and also whether it’s actually relevant to all different types of businesses.
The answer to that is yes it is, and it’s worth it…
How it gets implemented is going to be slightly different.
If you’ve got a sophisticated offer with a high ticket price item, then a lot of your time and effort is going to be spent at the beginning of that process creating and giving away value to take people down that journey.
If you’ve got a product or service that’s a low barrier to entry like a cup of coffee or some chocolate or some food, then a lot of your time and effort is going to be spent after they’ve actually purchased from you to ensure that the customer experience is so good that they come back and buy from you again.
Because this process can potentially be very different depending on the industry you’re in and your business, I’ve gone ahead and put together a useful cheat sheet that’s going to really help you with this.
It’s called From Cold to Convinced and it’s going to take you step by step through all the elements that you need in order to make this work for yourself.
If you have any questions about it or about anything else that we’ve covered, let me know in the comments below.
